Skincare ingredient checker
Paste the full ingredient list from any product — K-beauty or not. The check runs in your browser and uses the same rules as our Skin Match score.
What this checks, and what it doesn’t
Checked: added fragrance (parfum, fragrance, aroma); the fragrance allergens UK and EU rules require labels to name above set levels (linalool, limonene and others); fragrant essential oils; a drying alcohol (alcohol denat., ethanol) in the first ten ingredients; retinoids; an exfoliating acid (glycolic, lactic, mandelic, salicylic) in the first ten; a heavy occlusive base (petrolatum, mineral oil, shea) in the first eight; and clay or charcoal in the first ten. Position matters because ingredient lists are ordered by amount down to 1%.
Not checked:“pore-clogging” ratings. Comedogenic scores come largely from animal-ear tests on pure ingredients, not finished products on human faces, so we don’t present them as a verdict. Nor can an ingredient list tell you exact amounts, a product’s pH, or how it will suit you — patch test anything new.
Your text: the checks run in your browser. To look for similar formulas, the list is sent to our server once, compared with our catalogue, and not stored.
